Rich, buttery and extremely indulgent, Maamoul cookies are made for Eid, Easter and other occasions in the Middle East. Maamoul is made of semolina, butter, orange blossom and rose waters and mahlab (an aromatic white spice used for baking). The cookies are filled with pistachios, walnuts or dates and crafted in many beautiful shapes.
